Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve

Make your very own Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve in less than 25 minutes. Enjoy this preserve with your favorite roll or even toast! Somebody give me a “beet”  ( I love me some sweet beets)  please, because… 🙂

I am so excited about this post, that I just can’t hide it . 🙂 This is my very first video!!! OH MY GOODNESS, I am just so overwhelmed with JOY! I finally created a video and this is my very first video baby! Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve is delicious, it was fun to make and now its fun to watch the video.

My friend I am so so excited!! Okay… okay… I think I’m done!! 🙂 Whew… now that I got all that excitement out of the way, I believe I concentrate on writing!

The best part of making this recipe was picking fresh strawberries from a strawberry patch with my children and enjoying every bite with them 🍓.  Strawberries are just one amazing fruit because you can enjoy them in so many different ways. For instance, I also made Creamy Strawberry Oat Milk with some of these delicious hand picked strawberries. Not to mention, strawberries are sweet, juicy and most importantly a super food! This super food is high in folate, high in Vitamin C, antioxidants, and they are a great source of fiber

So, I must tell you that this post is also going to be my experiment baby. For starters, this post will not have any step by step photos to go along with the directions. These changes aren’t set in stone, but I wanted to simply give you a heads up!

Friends, I hope your ready to whip up some Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve!

Instructions
  1. Start by removing the stems and cutting the strawberries into quarters.
  2. Next, add all the ingredients except for the bay leaf into a sauce pan on medium heat.
  3. Be sure to stir the Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve constantly so that it doesn't burn and when the strawberries begin to boil add the dry bay leaf.
  4. Now turn the stove down onto low heat and simmer for another 5-10 minutes. Also, in this step, remember to stir occasionally.
  5. Finally, add the Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve to your favorite mason jar and allow the preserve to cool uncovered completely before putting in the fridge.
Recipe Notes

My Strawberry Chia Seed Preserve  only lasted 1 week in the fridge because my kids just couldn't get enough.
