My Lord, these were the sweetest and juiciest peaches my mouth has ever tasted! Granted it was sweetened with brown sugar and pure cane sugar, but the peaches themselves were very sweet. Southern Early Morning Cast Iron Biscuits With Caramelized Peaches, is a family farm breakfast recipe. I use to wake up to the sweet smell of peaches and extra large homemade biscuits. My grandmother would open up the windows and we would be graced with the early morning smell of fresh wet dew. Oh… those days were some of the best days of my childhood. 🙂

Since peaches are in season and I was craving some biscuits and peaches like crazy I opted to make these bad boys for the family. Since, my kids don’t have the pleasure of living on a farm, I wanted to bring delicious farm breakfast to them. Peaches are low in calories, contain no saturated fat or cholesterol, and are a good source of dietary fiber and topping for cast iron biscuits!
