Seven Grain Seed Apple Scones

Seven Grain Seed Apple Scones are such a delight to eat. These scones were fun to make and they simply will turn any frown into a beautiful soul. Seven grain and seed flour is such a beautiful light wheat mixture. The lightness of this flour, really gives the scones a crispy yet flaky outside and soft inside texture. Enjoy these bad boys, with tea, coffee or even an ice cold glass of milk any time of the day!

Apple Scones

Did you know that scones do not have an original place of birth! History tells us that this quick bread has ties with several countries. England, Scotland, and Ireland , but there is no record of the birth of this delicious bread anywhere! 😉  The apple in the scones are simply a bonus in this recipe! Think of these scones as a healthier version of Krispy Cream Apple Fritters. Geesh, the freshly baked smell of these apple scones are to die for . 🙂

Healthy Apple Scones

I would honestly say that these apple scones could be categorized as healthy. I’ve got 3 great reasons why.

Reason #1

They are made with Seven Grain & Seed Flour! This flour is a mixture of whole grain flours (Wheat, Oat,Buckwheat,Rye,Barley,Sorghum,Unbleached Wheat Flour), baking powder, cane sugar, whey, chia seeds, salt and potassium chloride. What a ride of delicious and healthy flour blend!

Reason #2

Pour in the Oat Milk! Oat Milk has so many rewarding benefits, which is why I try to use it in a lot of my recipes like Vegan Biscuits  or Strawberry Oat Milk For instance,  I bet you didn’t know that according to the website Soymilkquick.com,oat milk contains 10 minerals and 15 vitamins. Just a cup of oat milk contains 36 percent of the recommended daily allowance, or RDA, of calcium. Oat milk also contains 10 percent of the RDA for vitamin A, which is TWICE as much as cow’s milk. So, this is another reason why I love using oat milk in my recipes.

Reason #3

Toss in the Red Apples! Buy eating red apples in your scones, you increase your chances of consuming the recommended daily serving of fruit. 🙂 Awesome, right! Not only that but apples are a superfood Nutrition scientists have stated that “apples” are packed with antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals, and other nutrients that can help you live longer, look better and even prevent disease. hmmm…… No wonder I love apples ! 🙂 🙂
