Bee Free Nut Free Granola was created for my sweet daughter. Alex has a ton of food and environmental allergies, which is why I created this kid friendly and allergy friendly granola. It only takes about 20 minutes to bake with 8 delicious easy to find ingredients.

This granola does not use any honey or maple syrup because I wanted something a little bit non traditional. Bee Free Honee which is used in this recipe, was made from apples on a family farm in Mound, MN.

In addition to using Bee Free Honee, I also used cheerios, as it is one of my daughter’s favorite snacks and some sunflower seeds to add a nice crunchy consistency.

The awesome thing about this granola is that you can use it on anything! For example, I wanted a light but crunchy lunch, so I opted for some granola cereal! 🙂 Since both of my kids have a milk allergy and my daughter has a nut allergy, I tend to use oat milk in most of my recipes. It’s earthy, easy to make and sensationally sweet!

However, you can also use this topping for ice cream, smoothies, parfait, yogurt, or even just as a simple snack. 😉

Since, you are still hanging in there with me I just wanted to add, that Homemade Granola is the best granola! For 3 reasons!  #1 – It’s Homemade! Baked and mixed together all in your kitchen. Reason #2 – It’s Healthy! Who doesn’t love a good and healthy snack. The Final Reason- It’s Kid Friendly- If your children already love granola, then I am sure that that this granola will be a hit.

Instructions
  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray your a baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients and then spread it out on the baking sheet. Bake for 18-25 minutes.
Recipe Notes
  • The longer it bakes the darker in color the granola will be. I let my granola bake for about 22 minutes.
  • You can substitute the raisins for something else like cranberry or the sunflower seeds for pumpkin seeds.
